Sheet Metal Fabrication by Industry
Press brakes, shearing machines and fiber lasers from WILAMAC form and cut sheet metal for equipment builders in these industries. Below is what each sector typically runs on our machines, from the part types involved to the finish each one needs.

What We Form and Cut for Each Industry
Medical & Health Care
Stainless steel equipment housings, trolley frames, instrument panels and clean-room cabinets. Fiber laser cutting leaves clean edges on thin 304 sheet, and press-brake forming produces the folded flanges and returns these enclosures depend on.
Aerospace & Defense
Brackets, ribs, mounting plates and ground-support frames in aluminium and stainless. Formed on CNC press brakes with segmented tooling, so lightening cut-outs and multi-bend profiles hold their angles from first part to last.
Automotive & EV/AV
Battery trays, chassis brackets, cross members and body reinforcements. Higher volumes run on a robotic bending cell, where repeatability across thousands of bends matters more than single-part speed.
Robotics
Base plates, joint housings, control cabinets and machine guarding. Small, tight-tolerance brackets are formed on 60T press brakes and matched to laser-cut outlines so weld gaps stay consistent.
Consumer Electronics
Perforated panels, chassis, heat-shield covers and mounting frames in thin aluminium and galvanised steel. Enclosed fiber lasers cut fine slots and dense hole patterns without distorting the sheet.
Industrial Equipment
Heavy frames, machine guards, base plates and structural gussets. Plate is sheared square on hydraulic guillotines before bending, so downstream fits stay predictable.
Hydraulic Shearing Machine Selection: Guillotine vs Swing Beam
Guillotine or swing beam? The choice changes cut quality, cycle time and what you can feed the machine. This guide compares both designs on the criteria that decide a purchase: throat depth, rake angle, hold-down pressure and the maintenance each one demands.

CNC Press Brake Buying Guide: Tonnage, Control and Configuration
Tonnage, control type and tooling decide whether a press brake fits your parts. This guide walks through how to size tonnage from material and bend length, what a CNC controller actually changes on the floor, and which configuration choices are worth paying for.
